'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' Is Getting 'Black Flag' DLC

Ever since the days of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Ubisoft has realised that there is a lot of potential in adding a healthy dash of sailing into any AC game. Recent entries into the series like Odyssey allowed you assassin to sail the entirety of Greece while Assassin's Creed Valhalla leaned into the fact you're a Viking sailing down the rivers of England, pillaging as you go. Now with new Valhalla DLC, Ubisoft is taking us back to the roots (or maybe that should be spring) of its sailing content with new Black Flag cosmetics.

We recently reported on the new river raids mode in Valhalla that in short allows players to play with raiding more in Valhalla - a mode that you could run out raids of if you'd complete them all. The new River Raids mode gives you a bunch more raiding to do for the fun of it, and with its release comes Jackdaw cosmetics.

The Jackdaw was the legendary ship you owned in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and we miss the ol' girl dearly. So adding the black sail from the ship to your Viking vessel is a nice reminder of her. The hull of your Viking ship can also be upgraded to look like the Jackdaw's red and black hull and you can even get the Jackdaw's tail and figurehead to add to the ship too. Although it's not quite the same as Edward Kenways, there is no denying it looks badass.

To earn these rewards you have to complete river raid challenges - which mostly just consist of you playing the new mode and earning points towards collecting your new booty. Full details of the challenges can be found on the Ubisoft website, or you could just hop into Valhalla to see what all the fuss is about. Be quick though, this is a limited-time event.
