Yes, I know the breakout star of the Disney+ Star Wars show The Mandalorian is little more than an excuse for the House Of Mouse to shift toys this Christmas, but I can hardly bring myself to care. He's just so damn cute and TINY. I would give a year of my life to squish that tiny green angel. I would quite possibly die for him.
I'm hardly alone in this feeling, of course. The entire world seems to have fallen in love with Baby Yoda, with even the most cynical hearts out there warming at the sight of him holding a little cup or messing around with the buttons on a spaceship. It's no surprise then, that this passion for the little tyke has carried over into the world of video games.
It's probably only a matter of time before Baby Yoda "officially" makes his way into a video game, but why wait for that? The ever-industrious Minecraft community has opted to take matters into its own hands, lovingly recreating the beloved titch out of pixelated blocks.
We've got YouTuber and Minecraft fan Miles Playz to thank for the upcoming "Baby Yoda In Minecraft Datapack." According to Miles, the addition of Baby Yoda in the massively popular block building survival sim was the result of "many hours of coding and modeling." It was also done in datapack form, so no mods, resource packs, or texture packs are required to enjoy.

It's unclear when exactly this impressive piece of work will officially be available for the rest of us to enjoy, but Miles promises we can expect it "soon."
You probably won't be surprised to learn that Minecraft isn't the only game currently gripped by Baby Yoda fever, either. EA's Star Wars Battlefront II is also getting a mod that replaces regular Yoda with the latest model, while the titular star of The Mandalorian has also been added to the shooter by fans. This is the way, after all.
