Fans of the Left 4 Dead franchise have spent the last few days in blissful ecstasy enjoying Back 4 Blood. Turtle Rock Studio's spiritual successor to the multiplayer zombie shooter is Left 4 Dead 3 in all but name, and gamers around the world have been having a whale of a time getting stuck into the closed Alpha.

Everything you might have expected or wanted from a sequel to the classic Valve/Turtle Rock franchise is on display, and it seems like it'll only get better as the studio continues to work on the game ahead of the full release. There are massive zombie hordes, plenty of different types of weapons, co-op FPS gameplay, and some absolutely massive undead beasts that players need to work together to take down. You could slap Left 4 Dead 3 on the box and nobody would bat an eyelid.

Take a look at some of our own Pre-Alpha gameplay below for a taste of what Back 4 Blood looks like in action.

While players have experienced issues trying to join games and have run into some glitches here and there, it's important to remember that the Back 4 Blood is currently in Alpha and that there's plenty more work to be done. For the most part, gamers just seem happy that Left 4 Dead is back. Kind of. I mean, it basically is, okay?

Back 4 Blood's full release is expected on June 22nd, 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One consoles, Xbox Series consoles, and PC There'll be several more tests between now and then of course, so keep your eye on BACK4BLOOD.COM for more details on how and when you can get involved.
