The spiritual successor to Valve's Left 4 Dead series, Back 4 Blood might be coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day. As we head into the E3 weekend where announcements are due to be made on upcoming games, a description for Back 4 Blood accidentally reached YouTube early according to one Reddit user. This description lists plainly that zombie-horror game will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, which is an exciting prospect for fans.

As reported by VGC, the description for the live show appeared on YouTube before the showcase tomorrow evening (June 13). The Back 4 Blood presentation will be taking place two hours after the Xbox and Bethesda showcase (see our E3 guide for more details) where it is likely to be announced that it will have a Game Pass launch.

Here is the latest trailer for Back 4 Blood where you meet the cast of the apocalypse...

The entire description of the video reads:

"The original description of the now private video said, "Did someone say PvP?! We are LIVE from the Apocalypse with our host Noami Kyle and lead game designer Brandon Yanez! Join us for an in-depth look at Back 4 Blood's PvP mode, Swarm!

The Open BETA begins August 12th. Pre-Order for early access and start slaying August 5th. On October 12, 2021, Back 4 Blood brings you face-to-face with a new apocalypse on Xbox ONE, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Back 4 Blood will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch via Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, as well as Windows 10 PC."

The game isn't an Xbox exclusive, obviously, but it does show that Microsoft is still serious about snapping up opportunities to strengthen the Xbox brand further. It's now indisputable that if you want the most for your money, in terms of breadth of gaming experiences, that a combination of the Xbox Series S and Game Pass rules supreme. The Series S even undercuts the price of the Nintendo Switch making it the cheapest console on the market right now. Though PlayStation might have a bigger name in exclusives right now, like the incredible Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Sony is going to have to come up with an answer to Xbox's value for money sooner or later.
