Rocksteady, the developer behind Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, is developing a game based Suicide Squad.

Multiple domain names pertaining to DC Comics' villainous superhero group recently appeared online, and were shared on Restera. Fans soon discovered that the domain names were registered by a company connected to Warner Bros. Eurogamer has also claimed these reports are accurate.

Eurogamer also reports that one of the registered domains is "SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com", and that this is likely to be the game's final title. Probably minus the dot com part. No prizes for guessing what a game called Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League could possibly be about.

Two of the other domains registered are "SuicideSquadGame.com" and "GothamKnightsGame.com", though the latter is thought to be connected to Warner Bros. Montreal's long-rumoured Batman video game.

According to reports, both the Suicide Squad game and Batman game are to be revealed during the DC Fandome event in August. It's unclear whether Gotham Knights is the actual title for the Batman game, but this would line up with previous rumours that suggested the game will feature several playable characters besides the Dark Knight himself.

Both projects are apparently being developed for next-gen consoles, but we shouldn't expect to see much at all of the Suicide Squad game beyond a brief teaser. This is because it's further off from launch than Gotham Knights, and not that far into development.

The DC FanDome event kicks off on August 22nd at 6pm BST. A press release describes it as a "mega, 24-hour immersive virtual fan experience which brings the universe of DC to life and features the stars, filmmakers, and creators behind its biggest films, TV series, games, and comics."

"Accessible for 24 hours at DCFanDome.com, the global event will immerse fans into the DC Multiverse, with new announcements from WB Games, Film and TV, and comics, as well as an unprecedented opportunity to hear from the casts and creators behind your favourite feature films and TV series."

We'd previously speculated that this event would be the place that we finally saw the new Batman game, so it's nice to see that's looking very likely indeed. The Suicide Squad game was kind of unexpected, as there was all kinds of rumours that Rocksteady was making a Superman game.

Still, with a title like Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League, I can't wait to find out what the Arkham Knight studio has been i
