'Black Ops Cold War' Zombies Features Free DLC Maps, TranZit Rumoured

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is bringing back zombies in style. The undead were sadly missing from 2019's "gritty and authentic" Modern Warfare, but a recent trailer from developer Treyarch confirms that the upcoming shooter will compensate by giving us the most over-the-top Zombies mode to date, complete with classic weapons, maps, and more.

Releasing as part of Black Ops Cold War on November 13th, "Die Maschine" the next Zombies chapter with a completely new story and characters. Progression is unified between the game's core multiplayer modes and the Warzone battle royale, and traditional elements like four-person co-op, round-based survival, Wall-Buys, and the Pack-a-Punch machine are all back.

If you missed it last night, check out the trailer below.

Fans can also expect all post-launch content in Black Ops Cold War Zombies to be completely free. This includes weapons, perks, and most importantly of all; maps.

While details on which post-launch maps fans will be getting their hands on remains to be seen at the time of writing, it's looking increasingly likely that more than a few old favourites will be making a return.

The most recent trailer confirmed that Black Ops Cold War Zombies will launch with a revamped version of Nacht der Untoten, the original Zombies map from World At War. This is something that had already been hinted at by multiple reliable Call Of Duty leakers, which of course lends strength to the claims that Black Ops 2's TranZit map will be added to the game at some point.

Back in May this year, YouTuber and Call Of Duty insider TheGamingRevolution said that 2020's Call Of Duty would feature a mix of old and new Zombies maps, and that TranZit would be prominent among them. He also claimed that the game would bring back classic perks and the Pack-A-Punch system, both of which have now been confirmed.

Between this and the fact that Modern Warfare found success by frequently reviving fan-favourite multiplayer maps, I would say TranZit is looking pretty likely as a post-launch addition to the latest Zombies experience. I can't wait for a whole new generation to feel the pain of being left behind by their friends when they miss the bus.
