Bob Ross the man, the myth, the legend has become a pop-culture icon for, what on paper, looks quite weird. A man paints a landscape, beats the devil out of his brushes, and talked to you about happy little accidents. But Bob Ross's voice became a voice of calm for many. His show The Joy of Painting is still loved by many as a comforting, even ASMR experience.

People love Bob Ross, we get that, but did you know Magic: The Gathering loves him too? Wizards of the Coast like him so much, in fact, that they've put his artwork in the game. Reported by Vice, Bob Ross's estate has partnered with the company to produce a special set of cards called Happy Little Gathering to show off his work.

On each of these Basic Land cards, you'll see a beautiful landscape demonstrating the area in question. From Forest to Swamp these images are gorgeous and they're all paintings done by Bob Ross. It's a really clever way to show off the work done by the artist while making them a possibly functional card - although these are more likely for display as they're a special release.

The team at Wizard of the Coast had to search through Ross's work to find just the right representations for each of the land types. Talking to Vice, the senior creative art director at WotC, Tom Jenkot says that "I thought swamp was going to be the hardest, but it turned out to be plains. I did have to cheat a little with one of the plains by zooming in on the painting."

However, we can't wait to see the card 'Evolving Wilds' as according to Jenkot, "The painting has a forest, mountain, water, plains, plus an unearthly glow on the underside of the wave to hit on the evolving aspect." It sounds delightful.

If you're interested in purchasing the cards yourself, it's worth keeping your eye on this Secret Lair website form November 30 to December 14 for the drop.
