What can't this man do?

Brendan Fraser is a man of many talents. Would you like to see him as a boyish photographer capable of breaking your heart in two? Check him out in Scrubs. How about as a swashbuckling adventurer who saves the world? It's The Mummy for you. Or how about a washed-up racecar driver-turned robotic superhero? Don't sleep on Doom Patrol.

Truly, Fraser is a versatile actor that can do so many things - which is why it's great to see him enjoying such a well-deserved career revival. At this point we don't really know where the star will pop up next. Although I can say with some degree of certainty that most of us never expected to see him as the villain in a Bollywood thriller.

As spotted by Justin Decloux, Fraser appeared as one of the bad guys in 2019's Bollywood crime flick Line Of Descent, a thriller in which the three sons of a mafia patriarch fight it out for control of the family. Fraser gives a Nick Cage-esque performance as a gun-runner named Charu, whose "illicit dealings with the Indian underworld wedges him in the middle of the family implosion."

Needless to say, Fraser fans are loving the discovery of this role, which many mainstream moviegoers might not have been aware of otherwise.

I've yet to watch Line Of Descent, but I must admit that the above glimpse of Fraser's performance has convinced me it's time to broaden my horizons. The film currently has a very respectable audience score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, although it also has 4.7 out of 10 on IMDB. Who's to say who is right and who is wrong? The only way to find out for sure is to watch it for ourselves. That's my evening sorted, I think.
