One of the most popular Call Of Duty maps of all time is making its way to Call Of Duty: Mobile next week. As part of the handheld title's new season of content, the iconic Rust will be available to play from May 1st. Rust is, of course, a much-loved map that first appeared in 2009's Modern Warfare 2, and has since made a successful comeback in 2019's Modern Warfare reboot.

"As probably everyone knows who is reading this, Rust is one of our featured Multiplayer maps in the next update," Activision wrote in a community update. "While we don't have a lot to say about that classic CQB Call of Duty map, we want to share that this'll be available as soon as the next update releases next week."

An Activision blog posted shared a little later on gave us a better look at Rust in Call Of Duty: Mobile (although it looks pretty much exactly how you'd expect it to). It's the same old Rust, with its infamous central tower and generous amounts of cover. No doubt this new (old) addition to the mobile game will go down a treat among fans.

"The iconic Modern Warfare franchise map Rust is now in Call of Duty: Mobile as part of the upcoming new season of content. This classic map first appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and has since become synonymous with Call of Duty," Activision wrote. "Whether you're an old Rust pro or you're playing this map for the first time, we've got the strategies for your posse to take over this town. Read on for a full map overview and tips for mastering this classic."

On the off-chance that you are really new to this whole Call Of Duty thing, Activision also shared a few key tips for success in Rust. For example, if there are other players busy fighting it out to maintain control of the tower? Leave them to it. Joining the fray is pointless when you could assess other ways to get the drop on them - or let them kill each other off.

Having said that, Activision also wants you to recognise the tower's importance as the "dominant structure" on the map. The publisher suggests getting familiar with it as soon as possible, so that you're better prepared to defend it and have a clearer idea of what other players can and can't see while they're up there. But hell, you probably know all this already. I mean... it's Rust, innit?
