'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Fans Are Pleading For A Particular Playlist To Return

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare has always had a rotational approach to content. Infinity Ward updates the popular shooter's Playlists pretty much every week, meaning there are always new modes to try out. The upshot of this is that any week could be the week your favourite Playlist is taken out of the game.

So it is that the fans have once again made their disappointment known to Infinity Ward. This time over the fact that the immensely popular Shipment 24/7 has yet to find its way back into Modern Warfare.

Despite the fact yesterday's update brought in a handful of new modes, including a returning classic from the original Black Ops, Infinity Ward was inundated with requests about Shipment 24/7. Even our own coverage on the update was full of folk in the comments demanding to know when the chaotic Playlist would return.

Given the immense popularity of the Shipment 24/7 Playlist, it'll obviously be added back into Modern Warfare at some point. But of course, that's kind of the beauty of Infinity Ward's current approach to content. You might not enjoy the new Playlists every single week, but you can either take a week off from the game or play something you wouldn't usually play and have a ton of fun. Either way, the constant churn of modes means you'll never be bored for long.

By the same token, I get that people have their favourite ways to play, and it can be disappointing to see something you enjoy taken out of rotation. But hey, that's just the way it goes. Looking at the continued success of Modern Warfare (and Warzone), it's pretty clear this current strategy is working for the majority.

We'll just have to hope that Shipment 24/7 comes back soon. And maybe, if the demand is there, Infinity Ward can think about making it a permanent fixture in the game. For now we'll just have to take the Playlists as they come.
