Activision and Infinity Ward have dropped the first teaser for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare's upcoming Season Two. The new season of content, which starts Tuesday, February 11th, is set to introduce a slew of new maps, modes, and other goodies to the popular first person shooter.

While we still don't know exactly what to expect from Season Two, this new teaser has given hardcore Call of Duty fans cause to be very excited indeed. The short clip, which you can see below, contains a message from Captain Price to one Lt. Simon Riley - a character better known to Call of Duty fans as Ghost.

Ghost, you might remember, was a major player in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. You know, before his infamous murder at the hands of General Shepherd. That no good traitor. Obviously, this new incarnation of Modern Warfare is a complete reboot of the series, so Ghost is alive and kicking once again. Let's just keep him away from anyone called Shepherd.

Ghost's return was first teased last month, but now it looks absolutely certain he'll be back in action, presumably as a playable operator. I mean, the teaser literally ends with a mysterious character typing the words "Ghost Confirmed", before we're treated to a glimpse of his iconic skull headgear reflected in the screen, revealing it was him all along. That good enough for you?

The good times don't stop there though, oh no. The teaser also appears to show the briefest snippets of a location that looks remarkably like Rust, the iconic map that also made its first appearance in Modern Warfare 2. Just imagine playing as Ghost on Rust, soaking up those 2009 vibes and longing for a simpler time. Lovely.

Rust hasn't been officially confirmed as a map for Season Two as of yet, but the teaser strongly suggests that it's on the way. Modern Warfare's first season of content saw a number of fan favourite maps return, including Crash and Shipment. We also know that Rust, along with a ton of other maps, were found in the game's files upon release.

Modern Warfare will be heading into Season Two on the back of an incredibly successful first few months (aside from a few niggles here and there). Kicking off a new season with one of the most popular maps in the history of the franchise would certainly be a good way for Activision and Infinity Ward to say we're only just getting started.
