Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season Two is well underway. The new batch of content was released as part of a monstrous update last week and, true to form, tucked away alongside the new maps and modes are a few brand-new issues that developer Infinity Ward hadn't intended.

One of the most irritating new "features" to spawn from Season Two was the arrival of a small army of green dots that plague players. Following the most recent update, a number of players started experiencing this particularly annoying bug.

As you probably know, a player is notified that they've received a new item in-game by a green dot appearing next to whatever that new item is. Hover over that new item to see what your new gear is, and the green dot will disappear - simple.

Unfortunately, this latest bug rather throws a spanner in the works. Players have reported that the green dot doesn't actually disappear after you hover over an item anymore, making it especially difficult to work out what's new and what isn't. Not game-breaking by any means... but certainly far from ideal.

Over on Reddit, users were discussing the green dot issue in an effort to find out the extent of the problem. Modern Warfare art director Joel Emslie then joined in the conversation, confirming that the team is "pushing to get a 'clear all current green dots in the menus' button". He added that they're hoping to get the update out on the "near future".

While this new button will fix the more pressing issue of the bug, it'll also likely be a welcome feature for players who simply don't want to scroll through their menus every time they unlock a new item. Just tap a button and essentially mark all as read. Lovely stuff.

In other Modern Warfare Season Two news, the latest in-game cinematic seems to finally confirm that long-rumoured battle royale mode. The massive map shown at the end of the video, in addition to the appearance of a mysterious new mode in the main menu, all certainly make it look like an impending battle royale reveal is on the cards.

According to multiple reports, leaks, and datamines, this "top secret" new mode is being developed by Raven Software, the studio that typically offers support across all Call Of Duty titles. We've also heard it'll support up to 200 players across a large-scale map, and will offer solo, duos, and four-player matches. I expect we'll find out for sure soon enough.
