'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Season 5 Is Making Fixes To The Worst Map

It's no secret that Piccadilly is one of the most-hated maps in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. It was a disaster when the game launched late last year, and it hasn't gotten that much better in the time since. Baffling respawn points, a frustrating layout, and generally awful lines of sight make it a map that most players tend to shy away from.

None of this is helped by the fact that Piccadilly has long been plagued by a small handful of glitches and bugs that further derail the experience. Among them is one fairly well-known exploit that allows players to hide behind a door in an out-of-bounds area and take down enemies who don't know any better.

While sneaky, this doesn't give much of an advantage in most modes. However, it can become a really problem in Infected matches, as a single surviving player can get behind the wall and cut down all the enemies in pursuit. The issue has been well documented on YouTube and Reddit, and a number of similar glitches are still persistent on the map to this day.

'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Season 4 Image Teases Classic 'MW2' Map

The good news is that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare's incoming Season 5 update will address some of these dreaded issues. As spotted by Inverse, developer Infinity Ward's public Trello board for Modern Warfare reveal a number of upcoming fixes that are expected to drop when the new season arrives next week.

Among these notes are "reports of an exploit on Piccadilly in one of the kiosks", which suggests that Infinity Ward is going to make some improvements to the much-unloved map. At this point, just knowing that the developer is aware of the issues is enough. Let's just hope that this one minor tweak is indicative of many more adjustments to the map, because it's fair to say the community is 100% done with Piccadilly.

Season 5 of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call Of Duty: Warzone is coming on August 5th. Ahead of that, Infinity Ward is capping off Season 4 with one last multiplayer weekend, and a handful of returning playlists and modes for the FPS and its battle royale spinoff.
