It's a truth universally acknowledged that there are things you do in Call Of Duty... and things you don't. Modern Warfare and Warzone are massively popular shooters with millions of players and all manner of weapons, strategies, and ways to play. But just because you can do something in-game doesn't mean you should.
That's according to almost everyone who plays Call Of Duty, anyway. I get it. You can, for example, go straight a helicopter in Warzone and use it cut down players before they've even landed on the map, but doing so is a pretty dirty way of playing. There are also certain weapons that are so hated, so "toxic", that the use of them are considered something of a party foul.
That's why this minute-long Call Of Duty montage from Reddit user Gorrick1 (via Polygon) is as compelling as it is monstrous. It's a hilarious, beautifully edited piece of work that makes outstanding use of Offenbach's "Infernal Galop... but it also contains some of the most shameful gameplay we've ever seen.
You know what? Just take a look at it for yourself. It really does have to be seen to be believed. I'm as impressed as I am horrified by the whole thing, to be perfectly honest. A sentiment that seems to have been echoed by the Call Of Duty Reddit.
Gorrick1 describes the loadout as very much "toxic" in nature, and it's hard not to see why. The dual .357 revolvers complete with Snake Shot shotgun attachments are bad enough at the best of times. Add to that the Model 680 shotgun and you've got a loadout that should make most experienced players throw up in their mouths a bit.
Many fellow Reddit users congratulated Gorrick1 on the edit, but also lamented the gameplay itself. "I will commend you on the editing but condemn you for the gameplay lmao," wrote ThePandazz. Others joked that despite the montage appearing to be a collection of separate games, it was probably all taken from one match in Shipment.
It's important to note that the .357 Snake Shots have been nerfed in recent weeks, after fans complained about the fact they had the range of a pistol and the raw power of a shotgun. Clearly that hasn't stopped Gorrick1 from finding their own devious ways of tearing up the map in deadly, explosive fashion.
