Call Of Duty: Warzone is apparently going to get a map that takes place in World War II, suggesting that a Call Of Duty: Vanguard reveal is in store very soon.
Call Of Duty: Vanguard is the code name for the next entry into the seriously successful first-person shooter series, and leakers are confident that the campaign is set in the Second World War. It's possible that it might take players to the Korean War which occurred between 1950 and 1953 seeing South Korea and the United States take on insurgents from the North Korean Korean People's Army. Activision hasn't shared a huge amount about the future of the IP, only that it continues to practically print money for the company and that Warzone will be an integral part of new Call Of Duty games. As such, our curiosity has been piqued with the rumblings that the battle royale will be receiving another historical themed map only months after Verdansk '84 dropped.

The new map is said to be "the series' largest and most ambitious to date," according to the report from Video Games Chronicle, and will be a Pacific locale that is a lot larger than the current map. This time, the team has taken advantage of the foundations that Warzone has built over the last year and there will be a "significant" volume of content for players to peruse. This is surely music to the ears of players who were sick to the teeth with wonky weapons when Black Ops Cold War was on its way. New vehicles will be on offer, for example, and there might even be gameplay improvements as Vanguard and Warzone will share the same engine. That wasn't the case with Black Ops Cold War, so it seems like Activision has learned its lesson on that front.
Of course, the publisher hasn't acknowledged any of the whispers about a Call Of Duty title set in World War II, so we'll have to consider this report with caution. However, there is something for fans to look forward to this week with the Season 4 trailer for Warzone. Whether this will lay the Call Of Duty rumours to rest remains to be seen, so we'll keep you in the loop.
