This. This is why we can't have nice things. Though Activision is going through a litany of lawsuits at the moment, the developer is still in the process of releasing their next planned Call of Duty game, Vanguard. The game makes yet another return to the Second World War and has had multiplayer betas running to make sure everything needed is in place. However, there seems to be one big issue Activision - the lobbies are already filled with cheaters.
As VGC reports, the beta for Call of Duty Vanguard already has a tonne of cheaters in it. Though it's not the full release of the game, one of the main promises that Activision has made with the release of Vanguard is that it will be taking anti-cheat seriously. The developers have even put out trailers, or at least promo, claiming that it's chasing hackers down with ban waves.
Here is the reveal trailer for the multiplayer...

We also just reported that if you had been banned in Warzone that the ban will carry over into Vanguard too, which makes it even more difficult for people to cheat. And despite all that, Vanguard already seems to be riddled with cheaters and it's just a little ridiculous at this point, don't you think?

VGC has actually collated a couple of outrageous clips posted that show off just some of the hacks that have already been spotted out on the battlefield. These hackers are bold, and though I can imagine it's annoying for Activision to constantly have to deal with people like this, it's worse for the fans who have held on hope that they'll eventually get to enjoy these games without being unfairly beaten by jerks.

It's all a bit much at this point. And with the upcoming release of Battlefield 2042, I wouldn't be surprised if many players turned to enjoy EA's alternative instead.
