'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Code Leads Players To The Final Bunker's Terrifying Secret

'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Code Leads Players To The Final Bunker's Terrifying Secret

Time to run.

Call Of Duty: Warzone's in-depth bunker hunt has finally come to an end, with the trail of teases leading players right to the first teaser trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.. However, that wasn't the only surprise in store for players, as the final secret code led us to one final bunker containing... a massive nuclear missile. Gulp.

Activision has been releasing daily codes for players via a special website, with each one granting access to a previously locked room or bunker containing a clue to the identity of Call Of Duty 2020. This might have been a little more effective if Black Ops Cold War hadn't already leaked multiple times over the past few months, but it's still been fun to watch players go on this little Easter egg hunt.

Anyway, the game's final code led players straight to a bunker near the park, with a nuclear missile and a command center hiding deep inside. This has once again reignited speculation that the Verdansk map is going to be destroyed and replaced with a drastically different location for the battle royale when Black Ops Cold War launches later this year.

"I think what's gonna happen is that the missile is gonna destroy the whole map, officially ending Warzone [the Modern Warfare version] and then we start on a new map in Cold War," wrote Reddit user ReaperYash05.

Based on what we've previously heard, that probably isn't too far off the truth. YouTuber TheGamingRevolution, a reliable source of Call Of Duty info, claimed several months back that Warzone would be getting a Cold War-themed makeover to tie into the upcoming game. And honestly, what better way to say goodbye to the old map than by blowing it to kingdom come with a massive missile? That's certainly something we wouldn't forget anytime soon.

Activision will be showing off more of Black Ops Cold War on August 26th, at which point I'm sure we'll see for ourselves what Infinity Ward has planned for this gigantic nuke. It definitely won't be anything good.
