'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Code Opens Secret Door By The Gulag

Life has many doors, Ed boy.

Activision and Infinity Ward have continued their long build up to the Call Of Duty 2020 reveal in Call Of Duty: Warzone. The battle royale has been home to a number of fun teasers and secret messages that point towards what developers Treyarch and Raven Software have been cooking up for this year's instalment.

Most recently, Activision gifted eagle-eyed fans with a code to open a long-locked door at the shack near Prison/the Gulag. Warzone players who made the trip over and entered the code discovered a very strange device waiting inside. Another clue leading us towards Call Of Duty 2020? Almost certainly.

Activision has been using historical videos on a special website to release these codes for attentive players all weekend. The code and location of this particular locked door was shared via a video covering the presidency of Richard Nixon, who served from 1969 until 1974. Fans who sat through the video knew to travel to the specific location on the map - a tiny shack in the middle of a field near the Gulag.

Just like the other rooms that have been opened through these historical videos, there's no major loot to be found. The main reason for making the trip is to get another clue that points towards the Call Of Duty 2020 reveal. The shack contains a crate with some cash in it, and a table on which a weird-looking gizmo and some blueprints lie.

Take a look at it for yourself below. If you can work out what the device is supposed to be, you're a better person than I am.

Some have suggested that the device is actually an RC-XD, a killstreak item from the Black Ops series that allows players to drive an explosive-filled remote control car right at their enemies. Given that the name of the next Call Of Duty is almost certainly Black Ops Cold War based on the many, many leaks we've seen, that'd make sense.

Activision is dropping teasers thick and fast now, which means it's entirely likely that we'll be learning something more about the next Call Of Duty soon.
