If you've been playing Call Of Duty: Warzone, you'll be aware that Verdansk as we know it is almost certainly doomed.

Zombies have spilled out from the crashed ship and have almost entirely overwhelmed the map at this point, while leaked voice lines uncovered by dataminers have confirmed that Verdansk is set to be wiped away by a nuclear weapon in an effort to tackle the undead plague. Between this and recently leaked footage of an entirely new Verdansk map, it's clear the end is nigh.

We still don't know exactly when the big explosion is set to go off, but some lucky players did get a sneak-preview of the event thanks to an apparent bug. As caught by ModernWarzone, a huge missile was seen rocketing through the sky before careening down and... sliding harmlessly through the map. Don't you just hate when your nuclear weapons are defective?

Missiles have been flying over Verdansk for the past few days now in the build-up the grand finale, but it's clear this particular nuke was not supposed to land in front of a player. If this was the real deal, I can only assume it would have done a little more damage.

For now, we have to keep playing and wait for that one pivotal nuke to drop and wreak the havoc we all know it's going to. We can't say for sure exactly when it's coming, but given the missiles in the sky and zombies on the ground, it's likely to be any day now. This is going to be a pretty special event, so expect Activision to give players a heads up so they can jump into the game and see of the current incarnation of Warzone in real-time.
