Players have discovered compelling evidence that suggests Call of Duty: Warzone will soon be getting a game-changing new item. Since the start of Season 4, it's been possible to activate four UAVs at once to scramble the radars of all players in a game, regardless of how far away they are.

The Call Of Duty community has appropriately dubbed this as a Counter UAV, but it's now looking like Infinity Ward will be introducing a much easier way to activate the method. As spotted by Reddit user TwitterWWE (via VG247), a glitched-out Buy Station menu revealed the Counter UAV as an item up for purchase. It'll cost $4,500 - just $500 more than a common or garden UAV.

"A drone that scrambles all enemy minimaps, regardless of distance," the item's description in the Buy Station reads. "Incrementally disrupts their HUD the closer they get to the target area."

Other Reddit users have also confirmed that they've spotted the Counter UAV while playing through the Warzone training exercise, though it's currently inaccessible. It's not clear when it'll be officially added to the game, but the fact players are now spotting it in the Buy Station menu suggests it's coming sooner rather than later.

UAVs are currently one of the most useful tools in Warzone, allowing players to get a feel for exactly how many enemies are lurking inside buildings or just around corners. A Counter UAV that can instantly be picked up from the Buy Station and scramble radars has major implications for the battle royale going forward.

Some players on the Reddit thread are already a little unsure of whether or not a Counter UAV will help or hinder the game in the long run. Some are concerned that the item's range is going to get annoying fast, while others think it's about time that there was an easier way to counter UAVs.

"Bottom line is that there needs to be a counter to the UAV," argued benderunit9000. "Some drawback to using it. I like this idea or maybe making it more expensive the later in the game it gets. Variable pricing really should be part of the game anyways."

As with any new vehicle, mode, contract, or weapon in Warzone, if the addition of a Counter UAV at the Buy Station proves to completely unbalance the battle royale, Infinity Ward will work to fix it. Eventually. After Twitter has a meltdown. Look forward to that.
