'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Players Are Terrified Of The Game-Breaking 'Death Truck'

There are lots of things to fear in Call Of Duty: Warzone. Helicopters. Kali Sticks. Campers. Air strikes. Hackers. Players that are clearly way better than you. But I never expected that one of the most terrifying objects in the brutal battle royale would be... a completely ordinary truck.

As reported by PC Gamer, Warzone players have come to fear something that has been referred to as the "death truck". It seems that there's a completely innocent-looking truck parked up near Verdansk Graveyard just outside the Superstore, one that you can get into... but never escape.

The truck itself usually lures people inside by containing a Contract or cash. As you can see in the video below, you have to jump through a window and go prone to get inside, but the truck is positioned so that's impossible to vault back through the window once you've done that. Clamber into the truck, and the only way out is to blow yourself up. If you've not got a grenade or explosive device? You simply have to wait for the gas to claim you, or log out and start a new game.

It turns out that this cursed truck has been trapping people for months now, with various Reddit users recounting their own sorry tales of woe. Either developer Infinity Ward isn't aware of this, or it thinks it's genuinely funny that a simple bug has turned into a dreaded purgatory among the Call Of Duty community.

"Yup. It's the death truck," one user wrote. "I had someone in the squad get stuck in there on the last circle lol."

"I've been stuck into this truck twice," another admitted. "I tried everything, couldn't get out (not even killing myself and trying to get revived on the gap)."

"It got me the other day as well," chimed in a third user. "There was a scavenger contract in the truck."

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that the more industrious players out there have started using their knowledge of the truck as a way of tricking other players, trapping them in the vehicle. A number of players who end up stuck in the struck simply attract the attention of other players, once they've been granted the sweet release of death, they simply laugh as the victim clambers into the truck to take whatever loot was dropped. Evil.

"I did this two nights ago," Reddit user Pdx3325 explained. "I bounced around, attracted prey, let him kill me and laughed as he got into the truck to grab my loot."

While some players have explained it's possible to escape with the help of teammates and a little bit of luck, most who wander into the truck never return. There are Reddit threads full of players complaining that the bug has cost them games, while others are a little more relaxed about it. Now they know where it is and what it does, the truck is kind of... an entertaining feature to them.
