Warzone has had its fair share of famous faces dropping into the Call Of Duty universe, yet fans are clamouring for a certain character from Tropic Thunder to arrive in the game.

John McClane and Rambo entered the battle royale with themed areas of the map and unique weapon blueprints, and finishing moves to boot, through the '80s Action Heroes event. "We worked super closely with Studio Canal and Disney to make sure that these characters were brought to life with all their vivid detail and authenticity that fans would expect for those particular IP but also for Call of Duty," said Chris Plummer, vice president of Call Of Duty Mobile, in an interview with GameSpot.

As such, there is a lot of room for characters from iconic movies, TV shows, and video games as well as those from the series itself. Of course, Halloween saw Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Jigsaw from SAW become playable as an Operator skins, and there was even a spooky house on the edge of the map with a jumpscare. Because the possibilities could literally be endless, fans have vocalised which character they'd like to see next, and it's Lincoln Osiris from Tropic Thunder.

In the movie, Staff Sergeant Lincoln Osiris is a fictional soldier who is played by Kirk Lazarus, who is in turn played by Robert Downey Jr. Still with me? Lazarus undergoes "pigmentation alteration" surgery to darken his skin to play Osiris and his commitment to the role means he speaks in African American Vernacular English. Tropic Thunder is a satirical movie and attempts to point out the ridiculous lengths that actors go to to embody a certain character, and Downey Jr. was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance.

"Everyone wants John Wick as a character, but I'm over here wanting my boy Sgt. Lincoln Osiris. In game voice lines would be hilarious," said Reddit user Mibbens in the game's subreddit and the response to the proposal has been massive. "I'd make an exception to the microtransaction rule I have for him," said Dalquists_Revenge. Ultimately, it's down to Infinity Ward and Raven Software whether Osiris does drop into Verdansk any time soon, but they do know the community would be thrilled to hear that news.

For the future of Call Of Duty as a whole, the logo and title for the next game in the series, spearheaded by Sledgehammer Games, was leaked on one of Activision's own sites at the end of last month. Funnily enough, those rumours about another historical setting might be on the money.
