'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Quad Kill Record Has Been Smashed... Again

'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Quad Kill Record Has Been Smashed... Again

There are some Call Of Duty: Warzone players out there that absolutely terrify me. Earlier this month, I wrote about a four-player squad who dropped into a game of Battle Royale Quads and smashed the record for most kills in a game with an impressive 113. About one week after that, another squad destroyed that record with 121 kills.

Both times I said that nobody else could possibly best that number. Both times I have been hilariously wrong. Yet another squad has emerged from the battlefield to claim victory. This time with 138 kills. In a single game of Battle Royale Quads. I don't know how these people keep upping the ante, but I'm scared to see how much higher this can go.

As spotted by CharlieIntel, Vikkstar, Cellium, priestahh, and aBezy dropped into a game on May 23rd and obliterated the record. Like the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse. Only somehow even more frightening. For context, there were only 135 players in the game. Of course, the fact that people can respawn via the Gulag or Buy Stations means that these guys didn't wipe out every single person on the map - that would be ludicrous.

You might notice that Vikkstar initially bragged of nabbing 137 kills, but this tweet was shared before the final kill was factored in. Either way, it's a record-breaking number. What's one kill between friends? You can watch the entire game right here, if you're curious to see what it looks like when a group of players abandon all mercy and just nail everyone they come across.

Will this record be broken by a newer, better group of players anytime soon? I have absolutely no idea. Last month I would have told you that it would be impossible to get anything over 138 kills in one game. But that was a simpler time. These days anything is possible. I wouldn't be that surprised if this time next week I'm writing about a squad that got 160 kills in one game.

In other Call Of Duty news, Activision seems to be gearing up to announce the 2020 installment. It's believed that the next COD is being developed by Treyarch, and will be a reboot of Black Ops called Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This tracks with a lot of discoveries that been made in Warzone of late including mysterious coded messages and Cold War-era planes.
