The Call Of Duty: Warzone map is headed towards a major overhaul when Season 5 kicks off in early August. According to a new report from VGC, sources familiar with the battle royale's development claim that Verdansk will see "significant" changes after the current season of content wraps up.
Among these rumoured changes, it's stated that Verdansk Stadium will finally open up and allow players to explore the inside of it. Great news for all the players who are sick of staring at the most useless building in Verdansk. They also claim that a 'loot filled train' will will be introduced to the game, which constantly circles the map during matches.
Both of these claims track with a previous report from Call Of Duty leaker ModernWarzone. They said on Twitter last month that the Stadium and several underground transit areas would open up for players soon.
VGC also claims that Activision will make a number of additional updates to Warzone to 'bring it in line' with Call Of Duty 2020. Again, this is something we've heard a few times now, with many prominent leakers suggesting that Warzone will get a Cold War-era makeover to bring it in line with the rumoured 2020 Black Ops reboot.

Just yesterday, we reported on an incoming Black Ops/Modern Warfare crossover in Warzone, heavily implying that a major announcement regarding Call Of Duty 2020 is coming soon - and will probably take place within the battle royale.
Dataminers combing through the files of the recent Season 4 Reloaded update discovered multiple references to the Black Ops franchise. The first few files offered compelling evidence that Black Ops' protagonist Frank Woods is coming to Modern Warfare and Warzone as a playable Operator.
Not long after that, dataminers came across a string of audio files that reference Black Ops' ascension, as well as the infamous string of numbers from the opening of the original game. There can be no doubt that something massive is coming to Warzone, that's for sure.

Infinity Ward had previously promised that the massively successful free-to-play battle royale would be a "constant" for the franchise going forward. Using it as a platform to announce the next Call Of Duty game while bringing it in line with the future installment would be a fascinating way to handle the 2020 reveal.
I honestly can't wait to see how Activision pulls it off - and I don't even care about Call Of Duty that much.
