The first official teaser for Call Of Duty: Warzone Season 5 is here ahead of its official launch next month. While it's not the longest or most informative of trailers, it does seem to confirm previous reports that loot trains are finally coming to the battle royale.
Developer Infinity Ward gave Twitch streamer NICKMERCS a first look at the (incredibly brief) teaser, which was then shared on YouTube by TheGamingRevolution. Take a look at it below, or via this link if you'd prefer to go directly to the source. The footage might be grainy, but it quite clearly shows a train thundering along the tracks that have been present in Verdansk since the battle royale launched. Loot trains, baby.

The apparent confirmation of loot trains would also suggest that a few more significant changes are coming to Verdansk at the start of Season 5. VGC, who first reported on the loot trains last month, also claimed that Season 5 will finally open Verdansk Stadium and allow players to fight it out inside the massive structure. If the first claim is legit, it stands to reason we can also expect this.
This would be a pretty substantial change to the map, as nobody really bothers with the Stadium right now. Despite being one of the largest and most interesting-looking buildings in the game, it's entirely useless from a tactical standpoint. All you can do is run around the outside of the building and pray you don't get shot, while the roof is essentially a wide open space with zero cover.
Hopefully there's enough of value inside the Stadium to keep players going back to it. I imagine there are plenty of nooks and crannies to hole up and plan attacks with your squad, as well as the Stadium pitch itself for more chaotic firefights out in the open.
The only thing I would say is that we should expect the Stadium to be pretty hot for the first week or so after it finally opens up. It'll be one of the first major new areas to have come to Warzone since the game launched, after all, and players are nothing if not curious.

As for the loot trains? I can't wait to see how they'll change the flow of the game. I imagine that they'll very much function as a high-risk/high-reward strategy. You'll see one of the trains passing by close to where you are, and you have to weigh up whether or not it's worth breaking cover to go for it and claim its contents.
Alternatively, the trains could also be great for planning ahead and ambushing those players who do break cover to try and loot them. Set up shop near where you know the train is going to pass, let them do the looting, and send the squad in to take 'em out and grab the loot yourself. The possibilities are endless.
