'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Special Event Triggered After Fans Crack Stadium Puzzle

Baby, you're a firework.

Season 5 of Call Of Duty: Warzone brought some fairly substantial changes to the battle royale's Verdansk map. The stadium, once one of the most useless areas in the entire game, is now accessible. For the first time since the game launched earlier this year, players have been able to drop inside and explore the massive pitch and warren of office spaces.

While there are plenty of tactical advantages to dropping in the middle of the stadium and racing to claim as much loot as possible, players have also been keen to crack the new area's many secrets. It once again seems as if Infinity Ward is building to some kind of reveal, as the stadium plays host to multiple locked doors and mysteries.

One of the most intriguing parts of Warzone's stadium is a locked door that can only be accessed via a code. This code changes with every single game, and can only be obtained by unlocking two smaller rooms elsewhere in the stadium with randomly dropped keycards. Get into these rooms, and you'll need to make a note of the string of numbers and glyphs that appear on the computer screens. Do all of this, and you'll finally have the code to get into the larger room.

It's a long, arduous process, and you have to manage all of this without dying. Not that easy given you'll be running around one of the most popular new areas of a 100-player game, the aim of which is to kill your enemies on sight.

Much like opening the bunkers a few months back, it's really not the easiest thing in the world to do, which is why I can't imagine that many players will bother. Still, if you did want to follow the steps and attempt this for yourself, the reward is a special weapon blueprint and a pretty awesome in-game event in which fireworks start popping off outside the stadium. It's not quite as exciting as a nuclear explosion wiping out the entire map, but it's pretty sweet.

If you want the full rundown on what you need to do to see this Easter egg for yourself, or you just want to see the fireworks, then watch the video below (or via this link).

While this particular Easter egg doesn't seem to point towards Call Of Duty 2020 as many initially suspected, there's every chance the stadium is hiding a few more secrets that have yet to be discovered. We just have to stay frosty and find them.
