Popular 'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Streamer Confronts Blatant Hacker During Stream

After a brief hiatus, it seems cheating is once again becoming more of a problem in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call Of Duty: Warzone.

Just last week, forums and Reddit threads were packed with players who were discussing the annoyingly persistent issue. Many players over on the Activision Support forums had seemingly been banned for no reason as part of a fresh attempt to get hackers under control, while Reddit users were calling out blatant cheaters who were continuing to play unhindered.

With no clear end or permanent solution in sight, all the Call Of Duty community can do is call out hacking when they see it. That's exactly what popular Warzone streamer TimTheTatman did during a stream last week - but he also took the opportunity to really confront the cheater and attempt to understand why it is they do what they do.

While streaming to his fans, Tim was felled mid-game by a player who seemed to be using an aimbot hack to achieve instant headshots with a KAR rifle. It was at this point the streamer opted to spectate the player for the rest of the match in an effort to see just how blatant the cheating was. Pretty blatant, as it turned out.

But things took a much more interesting turn when Tim realised that the cheater he was inspecting had actually pulled up the stream. "Nod up and down if you can hear me," Tim called out. The hacker nodded in response, kicking off a fascinating spontaneous interview about cheating. It's a fascinating video that you can watch below.

While watching the hacker continue to cheat their way through Warzone, Tim asked a series of questions in an attempt to get to know them a little better. It turned out that the hacker was using an alt account, and that a ban wouldn't slow them down. More alarming is the hacker claims to have been using the account in question for over a year, and has been cheating for six months.

When Tim asks if the hacker is bothered about getting banned, they immediately responded that they weren't concerned at all. Even when Tim tells the hacker that he's going to report them, they simply nod and continue to play - knowing full well that their cheating is being broadcast to hundreds of viewers.

This is just another worrying sign that cheaters in Warzone are way too emboldened to do what they want right now. Hopefully we can get to a point where cheaters at least have to go back to being sneaky about what they do, instead of broadcasting it to the world.
