'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Video Proves PC Players Have Advantage Over Console

New perspective.

The whole 'console vs. PC' debate is roughly as old as time itself, and doesn't show any signs of slowing down any time soon. The battle has been particularly fierce when it comes to Call Of Duty: Warzone, as an influx of cheating on PC (where it's easier to use cheat software) led to many console players disabling cross-play functionality completely.

Infinity Ward has been busy clamping down on those cheaters, and seems to have made some pretty impressive progress. But there are still players out there who truly believe that those who play Warzone on PC have the advantage over Warzone players on console. Do they? I honestly couldn't say, but that's because I suck and everyone has the advantage over me provided they don't suck.

With that said, there are some players who know what they're talking about - and one has put together a video that argues why, exactly, PC players have the edge. Having been bested in a game, Reddit user ImPretendingToCare shared a video from eVCephei that explains one very simple that feature the PC version of Warzone has that the console version does not: a wider field of view.

In the video, which you can see below, we see how a player on console was unable to see an enemy player perched just out of sight on the roof of a building, leading to their death. The same footage viewed by a spectator on PC shows us that the wider field of view afforded by the PC version allowed them to clearly see the rooftop lurker.

"I can't tell you how many times I've been spectating my console friends only to watch them sweep across an enemy without ever seeing them," one user wrote in the comments. "The biggest disadvantage on console is easily the FOV. The next is just overall detail. I can see an enemy from very far away when my console friends can't."

Others also took to the comments to complain that whenever they played crossplay with friends on PC, their PC-owning friends would often alert them to threats or traps that they couldn't see because they were literally just out of site. Of course, given that the enemy in the video was just out of sight, it remains to be seen how much of an issue this field of view discovery really is. It certainly offers some advantage though, however slight.
