Call Of Duty Zombie Streamer's World Record Attempt Ruined By Server Crash

A popular Call Of Duty streamer recently had a potentially record-breaking run destroyed by an errant bug. While I'm sure most of us have lost a few hours to glitches or crashes at some point during our time as gamers, I can't imagine a glitch will have ever caused you this much heartache. Pour one out for the dude.

As reported by PC Gamer, streamer Noah was making great progress through an incredible six-hour run in Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies. In an incredible display of skill and zombie-slaying badassery, there was nothing that could stop NoahJ456 as he stormed into round 208 of his solo run. Nothing, that is, except a server crash.

Ironically poor Noah was this close to being the first person in the world to reach round 256, which is the last round of the horde-based Zombies mode before the game gives up counting. Mere minutes after reading a viewer's message about losing a Zombies map because of server issues, our hero was met with a black screen and an error message. His progress was gone. His patience and goodwill presumably had also vanished.

You can check out the pivotal moment for yourself below, or via this link right here. Be aware that viewer discretion is advised. Not because it's gory or rude or anything - it's just super hard to watch.

I really feel for the guy, but props to him for taking a loss - one that was entirely out of his control - with grace and composure. I've seen how some streamers react to things, and I'm sure there were plenty who would've responded to Noah's situation with all the class of a drunken wee in a hedge.

It's especially stinging because Noah clearly had everything he needed for the perfect run. He'd studied the maps, played nothing but the Zombies mode in Black Ops Cold War, and had a killer loadout that should have seen him through until the end. He was robbed. Hopefully he can recover from this and go again though, because it's clearly only a matter of time before he reaches that goal.
