Good news, everyone: Company Of Heroes 3 is officially in development. It's been eight years since the last game in the World War II real-time strategy series was released, but now Relic Entertainment is back to give us a brand-new entry. You'd think those guys would be busy enough with Age Of Empires IV, but who doesn't love a challenge?

Relic has promised that Company Of Heroes 3, which has been in development for the last four years, is going to be the sequel you've waited for. The RTS will feature an all-new campaign, as well as massive new battlegrounds that make the previous two games look teeny tiny by comparison. Oh, and Relic has made a point to work closely with fans of the series to ensure it gets things just right.

We love to see it, and you can love to see the debut trailer below.

"Bigger and better than ever, Company of Heroes 3 combines heart-pounding combat with deeper strategic choices in a stunning Mediterranean theatre of war," reads the Steam synopsis. "In Company of Heroes 3, every battle tells a story...what's yours?"

Company Of Heroes 3 currently has a rough "2022" release window, which means we're still in for a bit of a wait. Fortunately, there's a way to play it to now. Relic announced a pre-alpha build that's currently available via Steam. To get access, all you need to do is sign up via the official website and link your Steam account. It won't cost you a penny.

In playing this build, you'll be actively aiding Relic as part of the new 'CoH-development' program - a community-driven collaboration that seeks to take fan feedback and work it into Company Of Heroes 3 to make it the best game it can be. So what are you waiting for? Dive in!
