At the time of writing, developer CD Projekt RED has just released its second major update on all platforms for Cyberpunk 2077. The accompanying patch notes detail hundreds of fixes and adjustments for a game that, as we all know, launched in a disastrous state on consoles.

In the wake of Cyberpunk 2077's launch and the myriad of issues around the game, you'll probably remember that CDPR made the wise decision to put a hold on all planned expansions both paid and free in an effort to focus entirely on fixing the base game. While there's clearly still work to be done as CDPR works to restore its reputation and improve Cyberpunk 2077 at the same time, the good news is that the recently released 1.2 patch establishes a huge step forward for the troubled sci-fi RPG.

In the wake of this new update going live, Reddit user PricklyAssassin appears to have uncovered evidence of the delayed Cyberpunk 2077 expansions. While rummaging through the development-end of Epic Games Store, they came across titles for nine separate DLC expansions, most of which are currently listed as free.

This may change when they go live, of course, but it's worth noting that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt mixed free DLC with more substantial paid expansions. It could well be these nine DLC packs are also released for free. CDPR had promised a similar approach to DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 in the build-up to release.

The DLC names are below:

  • Ripperdocs Expansion
  • Body Shops Expansion
  • Fashion Forward Expansion
  • Gangs of Night City
  • Body of Chrome
  • Rides of the Dark Future
  • The Relic
  • Neck Deep
  • Night City Expansion

The names of most of these DLC packs seem fairly self explanatory. It looks like we'll be getting expansions that offer more options for clothes, cars, body augmentations, quests, and the like. Again, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt offered very similar free DLC, with packs that included things like new armour, haircuts, and quests. There's also the curiously named Night City expansion, which certainly sounds like it'll incorporate a new area or areas for players to explore.

PricklyAssassin also found details of an expansion pass for $14.99. I'd imagine this will grant access to premium content, in the same way that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released the substantial Hearts Of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions for a price. No doubt CDPR will have more to share with us soon enough.
