'Cyberpunk 2077' Fans Are Restoring Cut Romance Options To The Game

Hey Judy.

It feels like a lot of the dust has settled from the release of Cyberpunk 2077. People who wanted refunds have got them and CD Projekt Red has assured those with the game currently that they'll be getting updates to make it the title console fans feel was promised to them. Now there are those who, behind the scenes, are doing their own tinkering to restore certain lost parts of the game.

Many games when they are developed have content stored away in the code that didn't make the cut. The danger in development is lifting these details out after they're put in because sometimes it creates more problems than it solves, so developers leave them hidden away. Certain modders have been delving into the code of Cyberpunk 2077 and have found that one romantic option, in particular, didn't make the cut. It turns out, in another life Judy was interested in male V - move over Panam.

Judy, in the final cut of the game, is very much only attracted to the female version of V, but within the code of Cyberpunk 2077 it turns out that there is a fully voiced romantic option for this pairing. According to the Redditor who posted it, it only takes one line of code to restore the storyline and reintroduce this romantic option. The script is word-for-word the same as the female V option, but it's interesting that the male V has the voice acting prepped for the occasion too.

Understandably if you don't want to mod your own game to have access to this, someone has uploaded the entire romantic path in the game to YouTube for you to watch and enjoy. Perhaps in future updates CD Projekt Red might add new romantic options for both versions of V which revisit this pairing, but it seems like CDPR decided that they preferred specific romantic for the final game. Oh well, male V can always dream can't he?
