Cyberpunk 2077 has finally launched, but it looks like the console version of CD Projekt RED's sci-fi RPG has fallen pretty short of people's expectations. While running the current-gen version of the game on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X makes for a relatively smooth experience, we've seen multiple reports from customers who have described the state of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as "borderline unplayable".
Just yesterday we reported on the many, many complaints from users playing the game on PS4/Xbox One. Even with the addition of a pretty hefty day one patch that was supposed to make some key improvements, poor framerates, pop-in, low-quality textures, and a myriad of bugs and other issues have marred the experience of the long-awaited RPG for many.
While there a more than a few gamers who are currently royally cheesed off by the state of Cyberpunk 2077, the inevitable memes have also started to flow freely around the internet. Given that it's always best to try and have a laugh at times like this, I thought I'd take a look at some of the funnier/more savage memes out there so that we can make the best of this messy Cyberpunk 2077 console launch together. Okay? Okay.
This is Cyberpunk 2077 - PS4 version 1.00. Resolution is literally below 720p and the game takes 20 seconds to load in textures. Inexcusable. Unfathomable. Unplayable. pic.twitter.com/gdApyfmgAi- GIRL RIFLE (@girlrifle) December 10, 2020
Cyberpunk 2077 looks great on the base PS4. Not bad for a 7 year old console. pic.twitter.com/VyGILodgd4- Cam Jones (@Jabronii_Jones) December 10, 2020

The good news is that CD Projekt RED is clearly aware of these issues, and is working to fix up Night City for players on all platforms. In a tweet on launch day, the developer said: "The journey has just begun and we are hard at work on the upcoming fixes and updates to the game." Yes, it would have been nice if the game we got on launch day was the unbroken final product... but I guess we're past that now, aren't we?
