'Cyberpunk 2077' Rating Leaks, Developer Responds 'We Don't **** Around'

Cyberpunk 2077's first official age classification leaked online last night, and it's clear that the upcoming sci-fi RPG is most certainly not for kids. I mean, I think we always knew that, but now we know, you know? The game briefly appeared last week on Brazil's classification board with an 18+, before being swiftly taken down.

But the internet is the internet, and nothing is truly gone forever. Reddit user JordhanMK was kind enough to take a screenshot detailing all the naughty, naughty things we can expect to see when Cyberpunk 2077 launches in September. "Intense sexual relation", "nudity", "prostitution", "sexualization", "sexual language". "Sexual pleasurement", and more. Sounds... sexual.

The game also apparently features references to "suicide", "cruelty", "intentional death", and "exposure to death corpse", which are all grown up in a much less fun way than the above. Also, Exposure To Death Corpse is a sweet name for a metal band and I'm calling dibs before anyone else takes it.

Anyway, developer CD Projekt RED were of course made aware of the leak, and the game's lead quest designer Pawel Sasko had the perfect response: "Surprised? We don't f*ck around."

I mean, fair enough. CDPR has been super up front about Cyberpunk 2077 being a mature game for years now. We've known for ages that it'd be full of sex and nudity, and we've seen from the gameplay footage so far that it's a pretty violent shooter. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was hardly Teletubbies, and I don't think many of us ever expect Cyberpunk 2077 to be anything less than an 18+.

On that, definitely don't let your kids play this one, yeah? Or at least don't let your eight year old play it and then blame video games when they start asking you about drugs and prostitutes and Keanu Reeves.

At the moment, Cyberpunk 2077 is still on track for its September 17th release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. While this leak reveals a little more about the game than perhaps CDPR would have liked, it's still not a patch on the devastating story spoilers for The Last Of Us Part 2 that a supposed disgruntled ex-employee at Naughty Dog leaked over the weekend.

Just be aware, there are all kinds of spoilers for one of the biggest games of 2020 floating around right now. Hopefully CDPR don't suffer the same fate with Cyberpunk 2077, but just keep your head down and your eyes shut till September to be on the safe side. That sounds practical, right?
