Cyberpunk 2077 is finally, finally, coming out on December 10th. If it feels like it's been 84 years between the game's announcement and it arriving in stores, it's because it has been, give or take a decade or so.

But what won't be revealed to the public before the open-world game drops into gamer hands around the world is its DLC plans. Developers CD Projekt Red were pretty upfront about the expanded content plan for their last big game, 2015's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - both substantial add-ons Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine were announced ahead of the main game's release. There were also 16 pieces of free DLC offered, too, to help buyers feel they were getting some serious bang for their buck.

CDPR has previously stated that the Keanu Reeves-starring Cyberpunk 2077 will receive DLC - and that some of it will be free, too. But exactly what players can look forward to is, for now, under wraps.

PC Gamer reports that CDPR's joint-CEO Adam Kiciński revealed on a recent earnings call that all DLC for the eagerly expected sci-fi adventure is now in something of a holding pattern regarding public visibility, as the studio waits until Cyberpunk 2077 is out, and being enjoyed.

"The initial plan was to [reveal the DLC] before release," Kiciński is reported to have said. "But after the recent delay, we decided to wait for the release to provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects. So, [the DLC news will come] after release."

Cyberpunk 2077 has been hit by its share of delays - which is why its makers have been so clear to confirm that, yes, indeed, December 10th is when this game is definitely out. No doubt about it. Probably. What was coming out in April then moved to September, and now we're almost there, almost in December. So, I guess, bionic fingers crossed, yeah?

Kiciński also commented on the multiplayer side of Cyberpunk 2077 - which is not launching alongside the solo-campaign release, in 2020.

"It's a separate dedicated production, a big production," he said. "We think about it as a standalone product. Obviously, it's not entirely standalone as it comes from the universe of Cyberpunk and is very much related to the concept of single-player Cyberpunk"
