Days Gone is on its way to PC next month, and to rile fans into a frenzy, Bend Studio has released this frankly fantastic trailer flaunting features that PC players will look forward to.

"We cannot wait to see more players experience the epic journey of Deacon St. John, a former outlaw biker now drifter and bounty hunter trying to survive in a post- apocalyptic open world where danger lurks around every corner," said Kevin McAllister, online community specialist for the studio, in a post to the PlayStation Blog. Hey, isn't that the kid from Home Alone? Anyway. As Bend Studio's highest selling game, Days Gone won plenty of players over with its characterisation, gripping storyline, and a world that had forgotten the humans that used to call it their dominion. Also, it's got giant zombie bears that'll tear you to pieces as soon as they look at you. Those always go down a treat with apocalypse aficionados.

Though the plans for a sequel are currently off the cards, fans are out in force praising the game and explaining how Deacon St. John's journey across the Pacific Northwest must continue. So, if you've never dipped your toes into Days Gone, this is a pretty good sign that you'll likely enjoy the game when it comes to PC. What's more is that the game will be getting extras that were not possible on its original platform which makes the proposition even more enticing. McAllister ran through these in the post, and it's looking like Days Gone will be reborn on the platform.

We've got 21:9 ultra-wide monitor support. We've got an unlocked framerate that pulls you right into the heat of the action. We've got the option to use a mouse and keyboard, or use the DualShock 4, or even third party controllers to make the choices that may mean life or death. If this is already sounding great, then hold on tight, because Bend Studio's team is yet to bring out the big guns. New display customisation options offering an increased level of detail, foliage draw distances and graphical customisation choices will shine in the super-resolution photo mode, and there are a selection of screenshots that show off the fibres of a Freaker's shirt in the game. All in all, it's grand. You get a good look at most of these features in the trailer above if my bombastic statements here aren't cutting the mustard.

Days Gone is out now for PlayStation 4, and will arrive on PC on May 18th through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
