Remember When A £1 Million Bat-Mobile Got Totalled By Renault Scenic

The car was a custom Lamborghini Gallardo V-10 built by a team of specialist engineers.

Next, in images that trigger a feeling of anguish unlike anything else on this Earth, here's a photo of an eye-wateringly expensive custom-made Bat-Mobile that got totally wrecked by a... Renault Scenic.

Of course, there's a lot to sink in with that sentence and this accompanying photo, so let's take a moment to cover what's next for fans of the Dark Knight. Though Zack Snyder's Justice League might be getting a sequel, Matt Reeves' The Batman is proceeding full steam ahead with a brilliant cast. Robert Pattinson is the brooding billionaire, and he'll be fighting Carmine Falcone, Penguin, and the Riddler, played by John Tuturro, Colin Farrell, and Paul Dano respectively. Andy Serkis is Alfred, Jeffrey Wright is James Gordon, and Zoë Kravitz is Catwoman, and it turns out that she's reprising her role from The Lego Batman Movie. Huh. Cool.

I know a lot of us at GAMINGbible are very excited for Batman: Gotham Knights, and that one doesn't even see you playing as the character. However, there's so much that ticks our boxes in this game, so check out the trailer below.

This incident occurred two years ago in Dunkirk, France, yet it is no less painful now than it was then. The car belonged to YouTuber Sébastien Delanney, a social automotive and lifestyle influencer who has a dream to test-drive and film every single exotic supercar out there. This Bat-Mobile was a Lamborghini Gallardo V-10 with the panelling removed to replicate the iconic bucket of bolts the Caped Crusader uses to zip through the streets of Gotham. An entry for the famous Gumball 3000 motor rally, the lead engineer for the outlandish concept worked for the Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg for more than a decade, so this car truly had the best brains in the business on the build, and it took inspiration from the Arkham Knight series of video games.

No one was injured in the crash, fortunately, which is a miracle considering what the Bat-Mobile looked like afterwards. It happened as Delanney accelerated out of a service station onto the motorway, and though there aren't a lot of details about how the two cars collided, the YouTuber mentioned that visibility from the driver's seat wasn't ideal in another video. I'll just write that down: when purchasing a unique automobile inspired by a comic book character, make sure you can check your mirrors.
