The Doomsday Clock is ticking

A massive Nvidia GeForce Now database leak has seemingly confirmed the existence of dozens of unannounced games. Earlier this week, a user stumbled across a heap of previously unknown titles and ports via the streaming service, including a whole bunch of PlayStation 5 games that have yet to be confirmed for PC.

There's a mess of info to comb through, but perhaps one of the most exciting discoveries was that of Injustice 3: Gods Will Fall. It's been rumoured for some time now that Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm is working on a third entry in the DC Comics brawler, but this leak is the strongest indication we've gotten that part three is coming sooner rather than later.

Check out Injustice 2 in action below:

This latest find comes on the back of an intriguing rumour that started doing the rounds last year. In 2020, there was some suggestion that Injustice 3 would see the likes of Batman and Superman do battle with the heroes of the Watchmen universe... insofar as the term "heroes" can be applied to those guys.

Popular internet artist BossLogic shared a mysterious teaser image that referenced the Doomsday Clock, a relatively recent Watchmen sequel in which the Justice League find themselves going head-to-head with Dr Manhattan, who has been experimenting with and manipulating various realities. It's worth noting BossLogic has worked with publishers on official reveals before, so there's every chance this was more than a fan-made tease.

A third and final Injustice game could certainly offer the universe's twisted version of Superman one final shot at redemption, and an ultimate showdown with the cynical Dr Manhattan could be just the chance for the Man Of Steel to show that he's still the beacon of hope and optimism people remember.

Warner Bros.' second DC Fandome show is set to take place on Saturday, October 16, so we hopefully we'll see something Injustice-shaped then. Watch this space.
