Detroit: Become Human is already a pretty controversial game. There are some who loved it and quite a number of others that hated it. The story revolves around Detroit, a city that now lives with a huge population of androids among the humans as robotic servants, shop assistants, and even sexual partners. As the story progresses, some of the androids wake up, and in some way, evolve to have the same thoughts and feelings as humans which then asks players the question - what actually makes us human at all?

It's a heavy-handed slavery metaphor as well as a bit of a Black Mirror-esque storyline but when the game was shown by Quantic Dream to Sony, there weren't just the three protagonists that you meet in the finished project, there was another protagonist too. A sex robot.

Here is the trailer for Detroit: Become Human...

According to gaming insider Tom Henderson, the fourth protagonist set for Detroit: Become Human was in fact a sex worker. Sex androids are prominent throughout the game as it is now, as one case that you investigate means you even wander inside a club filled with these robots. According to the leaker, Sony wasn't impressed with this fourth character and she obviously was cut from the game.

He says: "Detroit: Become Human originally had 4 protagonists, with the fourth protagonist being a "whore android" that had blonde hair and huge boobs... I'm not joking. This fourth protagonist and some of the scenarios with it resulted in Sony wanting to wrap up the three-game deal ASAP."

We're not sure at what stage she was cut from the game but I can imagine she would have made the title all the more controversial upon release, had she stayed. Henderson also details some other interesting insider knowledge about Quantic Dream like an unreleased project which may have been morphed in its Star Wars game.
