The Xbox Series S looks like a speaker. I know it. You know it. That doesn't mean it's not a wonderful little console, but there's absolutely no getting round the fact it looks like you should be able to ram an aux cable into the back of it and start churning out some herby bangers at a bank holiday BBQ.
That's why I can't really blame DJ Khaled for receiving a framed promotional Xbox Series S and instantly assuming it must be some kind of speaker.
The record producer recently received a ton of Space Jam: A New Legacy-themed swag and shared a video of his unboxing over on Instagram. While looking through the custom box filled with sneakers, merch, and an Xbox controller, Khaled noticed the console itself and had some questions. Specifically, he wanted to know wtf this strange little rectangle was.
"I'm gonna put this in my sneaker room," Khaled tells viewers as he geeks out over the custom sneakers in the box, before briefly glancing at the Xbox Series S and asking: "What is this, a speaker?" Given the way he swiftly moves on to fawn over the rest of the contents of the package, it seems he probably doesn't care much to find out.

If Microsoft is ever on the lookout for a new celebrity ambassador, DJ Khaled should probably be somewhere near the bottom of the list. Having said that, we already know Microsoft has made a line of Xbox Series X fridges to take advantage of that particular meme. Maybe it could team up with Khaled next and launch a line of Series S speakers, just to really mess with people?
