Because of course he is.

Infamous streamer Dr Disrespect has broken a weeks-long silence as part of a series of interviews with various news outlets.

Fans and critics alike are still completely in the dark as to what it is he might have done to get banned from Twitch last month. Unfortunately, these interviews offer absolutely zero clues as to what actually went down... and only the vaguest of hints in regards to what the Dr's future might be.

The streamer, whose real name is Herschel "Guy" Beahm, explained to The Washington Post that he wasn't interested in "engaging crazy speculation" about the reasons behind his apparent ban. In a separate interview with PC Gamer, he claimed that he "honestly doesn't know" what exactly got him booted from the streaming platform.

"I've been very transparent with those around me and my community over the past few years," Beahm said when asked if his controversial character was simply getting too out of hand for Twitch. He also refused to speculate on whether his ban had anything to do with the sharing of conspiracy theories surrounding COVID-19 and 5G networks, or the recent reports of sexual harassment in the games industry.

"Listen, I'm not interested in engaging crazy speculation," he said. "I've seen all the theories, I've seen all the possible conspiracies, and it's just like, I'm just not interested in engaging that type of stuff. I have a great community of loyal fans and I'm totally focused on getting back and delivering great, entertaining content and that's where the focus is."

Perhaps the most interesting thing to come out of the PC Gamer interview was the revelation that Beahm is apparently considering legal action against Twitch. He claimed that this was a factor in why he couldn't be more forthcoming with certain answers.

"Yeah, that's the kind of the mind-blowing thing about all of this," Beahm replied when pushed to comment on the Twitch ban further. "Obviously, for legal counsel, I have to be careful here. But I can say however, that I will not be returning to Twitch, so, I mean, that's it."

PC Gamer then asked Beahm if he could confirm that he'll be taking legal action against the streaming platform, to which he replied that he and his team are "considering" it. Given we still don't know the hows and whys of his Twitch ban, it's entirely unclear on what ground Beahm intends to pursue legal action.

If Beahm truly is seriously considering legal action against Twitch, then it's unlikely we'll find out exactly what went down between the two parties anytime soon. Right now, it seems his primary focus is on "rebooting" the Dr Disrespect character and finding a new home for streaming.
