Dragon Age More.

Years back, if you were in the business of marketing a video game, you'd probably follow the time-honoured traditions of marketing, PR, trailers and so on until release day, then sit back and admire your work. In modern times? Not so much those things.

Dragon Age 4 is well into development; this much we know. What we don't know is how executive producer Mark Darrah's head works, as he embarked on a mad Twitter rampage simply saying "Dragon Age" over and over again with some random, teasing images attached.

The tweets (via PC Gamer) confused and excited fans and media alike, but it turns out Darrah simply had a couple of hours free in the middle of his working day, and decided to screw around. Naturally, he watched the ensuing bewilderment with glee as nobody knew what to make of it.

The last time we had any tangible news onDragon Age 4 was back at the start of November, when BioWare's official Twitter account celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the series, and announced that we'd be seeing more of the game on December 12th, at the Game Awards. If you cast your mind back to the 2018 Game Awards, you'll remember that was when DA4 was officially announced, having been in development since at least 2018, as confirmed in a blog post by Darrah himself.

While we still have no firm release date, or even release window for Dragon Age 4, I wouldn't bet against it getting a holiday 2020 confirmation at the awards show. Fans can take heart that, clearly, the game is still afoot and in active development. My best guess would be that it will be among the first games to come to the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Whatever consoles, so towards the back end of 2020.

Until then, fans can look forward to Dragon 4ge Day, which is happening on December 4th. What's happening on Dragon 4ge Day? Honestly, I have no idea. But it's less than a week away until we find out! Unless Mr. Darrah gets another couple of hours spare again and tweets the entire plot of the game.

Wouldn't say no to that, to be honest.
