We can't believe we almost forgot that Dying Light 2 is still on its way - but we're now more excited than ever as the Dying Light 2 Collector's Edition has been leaked online and it looks phenomenal. Freerunning and zombies are on us tonight.
If you're not familiar with the original Dying Light, it's your classic zombie horror game with some twists. The first is that you're a heckin' free runner who can scale the world around you. As your environment is riddled with zombies and enemy factions, it's a pretty good thing that you're agile, otherwise, you're going to get caught.
The second twist is hinted at in the name of Dying Light. As the sun goes down the zombie enemies that you encounter become far stronger and your stumbling, shambling, undead are far, far more likely to rip you to shreds. I'd compliment the idea if it wasn't so terrifying.
Dying Light 2 has been in the works for a while now - fans have even doubted that the game would ever see the light of day after a few development hiccups, but now we've seen a leaked collector's edition for the game, we're all sure it's on the way. And it might even be out this year.

An image of the goodies was spotted by PSU on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, and it looks pretty legit. As with many collectors editions, it features a physical copy of the game, an art book, and a statue for you to display in your home, or on your desk if you're so inclined. Here the statue shows your protagonist about to hack the head off of a zombie while in mid-air. Sick parkour skills, dude.
Other items in the box include a UV flashlight, UV stickers, a secret locations map, and a SteelBook case for the game. Although there isn't lettering we can see, there are also artsy postcards in the bottom right of the image. That's a whole lot of memorabilia.
Of course, this image could be doctored in some way, this is by no means an official look at what the collector's edition fo the game is going to look like, but what we are saying is that if this was the final product, we'd be very happy.
