Mediatonic, the studio behind the hugely popular battle royale Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, has had to issue a statement warning players about a recent scam that's started doing the rounds. It appears that a fake mobile version of the game has been making its away around YouTube, no doubt in an attempt to get personal details from potential victims excited at the prospect of Fall Guys on a mobile phone.
"Fall Guys is only available on PC & PS4," the developer clarified in a tweet. "If you see any ads for a mobile version they are scams." Mediatonic also shared an image of the scam in question to help keep people alert and I have to say; whoever is behind this particular con really seems to have phoned it in.
As you can see for yourself below, a poor-quality image attempts to trick users into thinking Fall Guys is running on a mobile device. The main issue (although there are many issues) is that you can literally see a computer mouse on the screen of the phone.

If you see any ads for a mobile version they are scams
a) They're literally playing a video and pretending to play it
b) There's literally a mouse cursor on the screen
c) I don't want to live on this planet anymore

The scam also attempts to link players to a website called fallguysmobile.com. For the avoidance of any doubt, do not trust any domain other than FallGuys.com. That's the one you want.
This scam isn't the first time someone else has tried to cash in on the Fall Guys hype. A few weeks ago, we reported on a shameless Fall Guys clone called Fall Gang. This title is currently available on mobile... but it's also absolutely rubbish, according to the user reviews.
"One of the worst games to ever be developed," a glowering one-star review reads. "First of a they only give you enough coins for one game, after that you have to watch ads to even play another. Second is that if you get knocked down or even touched there's no way of getting back up so you automatically lose because apparently it was to hard to add a jump button. One of the worst knockoffs ever."
To be fair to the (one) dude that made Fall Gang, at least he attempted to get in on the Fall Guys hype by making his own game, which must have required some effort. Certainly more than sticking a screenshot of the game's title screen on a mobile, anyway.
