Fall Guys might appear to be a cuddly and cute game on the surface, but it's anything but. Try the game out for yourself, and you'll see that it's as savage, brutal, and unforgiving as any of the other battle royale games on the market. It might be way more accessible than something like Warzone or Apex Legends, but that just means more players feel emboldened to play like absolute bastards.

That's why getting through to the final and claiming victory is seriously tough. Even if you survive an onslaught of 60 other players, in the first round and make it through some of the intense survival rounds, the win is never guaranteed. Team games can always see you eliminated before the final through no fault of your own, and even in the final round, you could lose it all through one single stroke of bad luck.

No, getting the win in Fall Guys is not easy. I've been playing every day for a week and I've just barely managed to get two. The idea of getting five in a row? There's just no way. At least that's what I thought... but Kotaku is now reporting that multiple players have already managed it, despite the fact that even developer Mediatonic thought it was pretty much impossible.

See, Fall Guys has a trophy called "Infallible", which can only be earned through the Herculean task of getting five wins in a row. Even before the game launched, lead developer Joe Walsh said in a Reddit AMA that he thought this particular achievement was "so insanely hard I don't think anyone will ever unlock it."

While it clearly didn't turn out to be impossible, many players are wondering if Mediatonic did set the bar too high in this instance. The good news is that a Mediatonic rep confirmed to Kotaku that "we'll have new ways to win coming in the future that might just make this slightly easier". I hope with all my heart this means we'll have an option to play without team games, because they really do suck.

While us mere mortals wait for Mediatonic to move the goal posts for our benefit, at least those few players who've claimed the Infallible trophy can be content in the knowledge that they've managed something truly remarkable. According to third-party site PSN Profiles, just 252 players have bagged the achievement on PS4 at the time of writing.

Considering the game currently has hundreds of thousands of players, that's a pretty elite club. Please, let me in.
