‘Fall Guys’ Season 2 Released - New Mode Means No More Team Games

‘Fall Guys’ Season 2 Released - New Mode Means No More Team Games

Mediatonic, thank you for sort of getting rid of Yellow Team

We admit it okay? Many of the times we've lost at Fall Guys it's because of our own silly fault. We're talking risky jumps in Slime Climb, or not paying attention to the way gravity works in See Saw - stuff we know we've been doing wrong and we do it anyway. That's fair enough.

The other times we've lost in Fall Guys it's because we're on Yellow Team and everyone knows that Yellow Team is the worst. Although we haven't cracked Mediatonic into telling us how they assure Yellow Team loses every single time, the developer has instead allowed us all the option to never play a team game again.

That's right, you can now opt-out of the show where you have to play Fall Ball or Jinxed and can play in just single player levels. Now when choosing to play a match of Fall Guys you'll get the choice to either play the Main Show (all levels) or Gauntlet Showdown (every man for themselves style levels). There is a time limit, however, on Gaunlet Showdown. It looks like this mode will be in the game for a week before possibly being replaced by another next Thursday. We'll have to keep our eyes out to see what changes then.

This is perhaps one of the biggest asks from the Fall Guys community since the game came out and now it's happening, fans are elated. When a game is at its heart a battle royale - relying on a team effort when there are likely to be trolls or new players can be frustrating. It's much easier to be angry at yourself, than it is to be angry at a jelly bean stranger wearing a tutu.

Lead game developer Joe Walsh (FallGuysJoe) on Reddit responded to this excited post about the change, saying "And you say we never do anything for you." Joe, on behalf of all Fall Guys players we want to say thanks for giving us this opportunity, we won't let you down coach - or we at least won't scream at our team for getting jinxed.
