Game reveals are always a little opinion dividing. Some people really like to see the cinematics which set the scene for the entire game while others are far more into seeing the game in action so they're not disappointed by the final result. But Insomniac may have found the right balance with the reveal of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as it turns out that the trailer we saw at the PlayStation Showcase was actually running on the PlayStation 5.

In a tweet spotted by Push Square, Bryanna Lindsey who works as the lead VFX artist at Insomniac Games highlighted the excellent work of the team as fans noticed a certain bit of small print. At the bottom of the trailer, it says that the visuals were captured on the PlayStation 5 and that's rather incredible. The comparison the fan shows between the trailer for Spider-Man 2 which was on the PS5 and Miles Morales which was CGI shows that the gap between the two has practically closed.

Here is the trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man 2...

Lindsey retweeted a fan pointing that out by talking about how incredible the work of her team is. She says: "The team did a killer job. Real time VFX are difficult but I'm so proud of our whole team for pushing our quality bar."

Insomniac have been killing it lately. The team has already been a stand out developer on the new generation of consoles with Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. The studio is also giving PlayStation 5 fans tonnes to look forward to with the eventual release of Spider-Man 2 and we can't forget the reveal of Marvel's Wolverine. Safe to say it's an exciting time to be an Insomniac fan, and if the Spider-Man 2 trailer is just the beginning, we can't wait to see the entire game.
