An incredibly dedicated Bethesda fan appears to have uncovered a seriously intriguing teaser for The Elder Scrolls VI in the recently released trailer for Starfield.
For those who missed it last night, Bethesda's long-gestating sci-fi RPG Starfield is coming to Xbox and PC in November 22, exactly eleven years on from the launch of Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls connections don't end there, however, as Reddit user Huhwtfbleh dug deep and appears to have found a very subtle clue tucked away in the trailer.
But first, take a look at the Starfield trailer for yourself below to see if you can spot the clue. I'd be seriously impressed if you could find it on your own.
The eagle-eyed Huhwtfbleh took to Reddit to share what they found in the trailer: an etching on the side of the spaceship's dashboard that bears a striking resemblance to a map of Tamriel's High Rock and Iliac Bay.

While this is most likely a fun little Easter egg the developers decided to throw into the Starfield trailer, fans have speculated that The Elder Scrolls VI will likely take place in Hammerfell or High Rock. Heck, given how close the two regions are, it could be that Bethesda throws in both.
Those not familiar with Elder Scrolls lore should know that High Rock is home to the Bretons. It's a varied land covered in mountains and forests, and surrounded by oceans. Of course I should probably point out that the only thing we ever really had to go on from the original trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI was that there would be at least one mountainous region... that doesn't really narrow things down at all in a world filled with mountainous regions.
That's not all the trailer is hiding, though. As pointed out by Forrest Lee on Twitter, there's a reference to Tenth Planet, a cancelled space combat from Bethesda Softworks. Have some of the ideas from this doomed game made their way into Starfield? We'll have to wait and see.
