Cat Who Refuses To Stop Sleeping On Gaming PC Leads To Super Wholesome Advice Thread

Cats. I love cats with all my heart. They might well be cold and indifferent bastards that will sell you down the river for a free meal if given the chance, but they are also cute and fluffy. It all balances out.

If you have a cat, you'll know that their favourite place is quite often the last place they ought to be. As I write these words, my own feline friend - Eevee - is sat on my desk staring at me. Her paws are actually resting dangerously close to the power button of my laptop, and I can guarantee that before I'm finishing with this article, she will have walked across my keyboard at least once.

All of this to say that it's tricky to get cats to do anything they don't want to do - at least in my experience. That's why I can hard relate to the wonderfully named nutsnackk, who recently took to Reddit to ask fellow gamers one simply question: How does one stop their cat from sleeping on their gaming PC?

It's no secret that most gaming PCs will probably start to run warm after a little while, making it an incredibly inviting spot for a cat to chill out. There's also the added bonus of it being somewhere you don't want them to be. You can tell me they have no idea they're not supposed to be there, but I think we'd both know you're lying. To yourself and to me.

At any rate, the aforementioned thread soon provided a slew of handy tips for convincing your cat they're better off anywhere other than your expensive PC. The tips range from the obvious, such as try and provide your cat with a cardboard box to sleep in instead, to the more obscure. Did you know, for example, that if you place a single sheet of paper down on the floor your cat is likely to go and sit on it? I had no idea.

If you struggle from a similar issue, you might want to check it out. If nothing else it's a genuinely entertaining read that serves as a reminder that none of us can ever truly own a cat. They own us.

Oh, and Eevee did walk across my keyboard by the way. Twice. Here she comes onnm sajkcmnasd
