Gamer Has Beaten 'Demon's Souls' Tower Knight Using DK's Bongos

I didn't realise this was a BEAT'em up

Some people hate how hard a game like Demon's Souls is. Some enjoy the challenge and accept the difficult. Others decide that it's not hard enough as is and forge their own perilous path of misery into making Demon's Souls bosses semi-unbeatable.

Found by GamesRadar+, this modder Super Louis 64 decided the last option on that list and thought of the terrifying idea to defeat the Tower Knight with Donkey Kong Bongos as a controller. If you've never had the pleasure to see these bongos before, they were released back in 2004 with the game Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. They're now legendary as both part of the game and as part of a history of modders using these controllers in for a variety of other titles which is how we end up here with Demon's Souls.

Super Louis is pretty happy-go-lucky through this process as he figures out how to cut all unnecessary inputs to the bare minimum. He calls this 'Controller Bending' which we appreciate - it does feel like an art form.

Watching the video reveals that normal enemies aren't actually too hard to beat using the controls he has come up with. We say "not too hard" without trying it ourselves as Louis makes it look easy. The real challenge is with the bosses in the game of course. And still, Louis makes it look easy.

The first to fall is the Vanguard Demon who, as Louis points out, jiggles an uncomfortable amount. Just keep behind the beast and you're good to go. The Tower Knight is a lot harder, in part because of the other NPCs shooting at you, but also because keeping close to the Knight is lethal. Once again, though, the player gets it done with a lot of hard work and stress. Congrats dude, you did good.

Check out his channel if you're into more fun content like this video, we're just waiting till he played Cyberpunk 2077 with those as a controller too.
